Corrupted File in FL Studio
If you have ever had any problems opening a .flp file than you could try out the FL Studio diagnostic tool. This clever little tool enables you to fix FL Studio problems as well as corrupted FL Studio files.
Have you ever downloaded someone else’s tune to collab on and they have a VST that you don’t have? FL Studio can sometimes break forcing you to CTRL+ALT+DEL and shutdown the program.

When this happened to me I was stuck for ideas and gave up opening the file. When I found out about the diagnostic tool, I downloaded it straight away. All you have to do is choose “Fix a FL Studio file that can’t be loaded anymore” then select the .flp that you are having problems with (if the .flp file is within a .zip folder you must first unzip the project). The diasgnostic tool reads in all of the presets that the project uses and lets you disable the ones that may be causing issues. Third party VST’s are displayed as “Fruity Wrapper” so all you need to do is select the Fruity Wrappers and resave the file as a new name. So there you have it, your final option if all else fails!

Hmmm, you next best option is to go to the FL Studio site and ask them for help on their forum. State the exact nature of the problem and they should be able to help you out.

i have had a file go corrupted for the first time ever using FL8 and im pretty gutted. this program hasn’t fixed it as it’s a problem that tells me “a problem was spotted on the playlist, and has been fixed” but doesn’t let me close the message box telling me that or let me do anything else!! 8-(

Hi,i’ve got a corrupted file a few 3 years back. This happened when i was composing a track without saving the first bit, all of a sudden, there was this plugin that i was using that causes the software(it was FL V.5) to hang and immediately i clicked on the closed button on the top right. Without reading the little windows that pops up, i clicked “Yes”.It was a “do you want to save your project window”.There it goes, the file is saved with an error in it. No longer able to open anymore. Today, i came across this software and give it a try after downloded it. It WORKS!!! Having being able to listen to the track i made 3 years back, i’m amazed!! It was a trance melody i made that was lost. Thanks.

Glad to help out! Sometimes 3rd party plugins cause flp files to become corrupted. This tool lets you disable them.

It does not work for me either. Not even if one sample misses in my flp project, FL won’t be able to open it. Only says ‘Opening: Fruity wrapper’, but it will freeze, and then only Ctrl+Alt+Del will remove it from desktop.

Ok what you need to do is go into your Audio Settings and select “ASIO4ALL v2″ in the Input/Output section. If you don’t have the ASIO4ALL v2 drivers then you need to download them and install. Also download the latest drivers for your soundcard.
If you hear no sound when you use “ASIO4ALL v2″ then go into the ASIO Panel and make sure that the channels are turned on.
This fixed the FL Studio hanging problem for me. Good luck!

Hi,
I have an external hard drive, that everytime I try and open the folder full of zips of FL Beats, it cannot read and tells me to format. Everything else on the Hard drive is intact. As a matter of face I went and tried to backup some files of relevance on the harddrive that were not in the folder and was able to do so.
How can i go and fix the problem?!?!?! It is a matter of 3 LPs or death!!
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP *TEARS*

Try a file recovery program, there are plenty of free ones out there. Also try using a different external hard drive bay. If it’s a cheap hard drive bay it’s likely to be the problem.
